Aside from getting you license from the government, you also have the option to book an appointment with an independent marriage license issuer through your the province and rural areas. Oftentimes it is more convenient to meet a MLI after hours or on weekends, depending on your busy schedules.

A Few Things To Remember

 
    • Application for a marriage license must be made in person to a Marriage Licence Issuer.

    • An Application for a Marriage License must be completed. This can be obtained from my web site and done prior to our visit or upon arrival.

    • A Provincial Fee of $100 is required (Cash Only)

    • The name of the person officiating your marriage, as well as the date and location of the marriage ceremony is required.

    • A Photo ID of both parties being married is required.

    • Both parties must be 19 years of age or over, otherwise special consents may be required.

    • If either or both parties have been married before, a Decree of Divorce or Certificate of Divorce (Original and copy) are required.

    • A Marriage License is only valid for 30 days from the date of issue so please plan accordingly. (This can be extended under special circumstances)

  • You should apply at least 4 days before the anticipated date of marriage.
